This Album is focused on owning Murakami Flowers and seeds. Murakami Flowers is the first NFT project Takashi Murakami and his team has produced independently. Previously he partnered with RTFKT to create CloneX. Something to note, the CloneX mintvial is trading ~2x to floor.
Murakami is a contemporary artist whose influence spans across pop culture. One interesting place you’ve seen his work is in Kanye West’s Graduation album. He takes a maximalist approach to art. In contrast to minimalism, maximalism emphasizes highly saturated colors, patterns, layers, repetition, and elaborate ornamentation.
The Murakami Seeds (a token used to redeem for a flower) launched March 29th starting at a 6ETH floor. All time high hit ~10 ETH. They’ve since been revealed and received a dip in price. Flowers are going for <4 ETH while seeds are going for <5 ETH as of May 25th. Takashi Murakami’s reputation and impact on the global art world will continue to persist, making this a valuable opportunity for those with the liquidity to participate.
The goal for the Flower Album is to purchase at least two items, at most three items. Ideally we buy one three rare flowers and one Murakami Flower Seed. We aim to raise ~5-24 ETH (enough to buy 1-4 Flower NFTs) to execute on the goal. Items should only be listed for more than 2x their purchase price (TBD by DAO vote).

The Album will be created with a token distribution that ends Thursday June 11th at 7:00pm GMT. The Album will cap the raise at 30 ETH and there will be 11,664 $FLOWER tokens offered or 388.8 tokens per 1 ETH. 11,664 is the number of Murakami Flowers in supply (see below). Leftover $FLOWER tokens will be held by the deployer address and either sent to the DAO to manage, distribute to existing token holders, or offer OTC.
If there is not enough ETH available for the Album to purchase a Flower at the end of the distribution event, the ETH will be converted to WETH and sent to the Album to be distributed trustlessly via token voting.
“Murakami.Flowers is a work in which artist Takashi Murakami’s representative artwork, flowers, are expressed as dot art evocative of Japanese TV games created in the 1970s. The work is being developed with the number 108 as the keyword; a combination of 108 backgrounds and flower colors make up a field, and there are 108 fields. Each field has 108 flower images, resulting in 11,664 flower images in total. The number 108 is a reference to bonnō, or earthly temptations.”

As stated in the DAO Requirements doc, voting thresholds may be determined by the charter document at Album creation. Thus, the following parameters will be required for the Album to make a decision:
If a proposal does turn out to be malicious, Album members may call upon the SZNS DAO to arbitrate and “shoot down” a proposal.
